Instruments for improving the financial provisions for PHC
This WP aims to identify, pilot and propose, at transnational, national and regional levels, ways to improve the allocation of financial resources to PHC as an essential component of an equitable and cost-effective health system, which is in line with the needs of the population in the BSR.
At the operational level, the WP will explore how incentives for PHC providers should be organised in order to produce PHC services of high quality. This will be achieved on one hand by elaborating a system of evidence-based quality indicators to be developed and tested.
- Presenting and discussing the existing remuneration/incentive payment schemes in the BSR - Ingvar Ovhed (PP1)
- Elaboration of a system of evidence-based quality indicators for PHC performance - Arnoldas Jurgutis (PP14)
- Set-up of a pilot project on icentive payment schemes in Latvia - Aigars Miezitis (PP6)
